Overview

CPS is your fast and easy UPS shipping software solution for shipping parcels via UPS^®. Integrated UPS Rates and Service Selection and UPS Tracking in CPS allows both clients and customers to benefit from easily accessible UPS services. This plus a full suite of powerful features make CPS one of the most comprehensive shipping software solutions available.

CPS supports all available UPS services - both domestic and international services, including alternative billing options such as freight collect, UPS Paperless^SM Invoice, consignee billing, and third party billing.  CPS also supports thermal UPS "Smart Labels", "Tag less" C.O.D.'s, and the ability to request electronic Call Tags.  CPS is available to all shippers in the US 48 states, Alaska, Hawaii and through special arrangements internationally.

In addition to having access to all UPS services, CPS contains the following UPS integrated functionality:

UPS Time in Transit - This powerful UPS integrated functionality displays all available UPS shipping services within the United States with their scheduled delivery time, date, and days in transit. You can now compare the speed of UPS Ground to other UPS delivery services without ever leaving CPS.

UPSlink - CPS communicates with the UPS Data Center for PLD uploads, tracking and tracing. This secured communication protocol which allows for communication to be established though an existing ISP. UPSlink is only available through the UPS Ready™ Program and CPS has been certified to fully support it.

UPS Tracking - This powerful UPS functionality lets you provide up-to-the-minute shipping status reports to your customer, improving customer service and increasing traffic on your site.

Carrier Approvals and Certification

CPS is UPS Ready^®, which means you can upload your daily closeout information (PLD - Package Level Detail) electronically to the UPS data center.  UPS Smart Labels generated by CPS have also been certified UPS Ready.

CPS supports UPS Returns Services including UPS Returns^TM Print Return Label, Electronic Return Label, and Print and Mail Return Label services.  This means a UPS return label can be printed to be sent to the person returning the package or included with the package.  Alternately, UPS can be instructed to print a return label and send it to the person returning the package using CPS.  Or, send a notification by e-mail to a person needing to return a package that contains a link to the return label which can printed on the recipient's own printer.  CPS also supports UPS Return Service Pickup Address when the pickup address is different than recipient address.

CPS supports UPS Returns Plus - 1 UPS Pickup Attempt and UPS Returns Plus - 3 UPS Pickup Attempts services.

CPS supports UPS address validation for the CPS customer database. CPS can automatically update its customer data base with corrected ZIP+4 and mark them as verified when used.

UPS Paperless^SM Invoice Seamlessly Supported in CPS

UPS Paperless Invoice eliminates the need for paper commercial invoices by integrating order and shipment processing, and transmitting commercial invoice data to enable clearance by Customs offices across the globe.

UPS Paperless Invoice works seamlessly when using CPS. There is no need for additional software. Any CPS shipper can use UPS Paperless Invoice for any international shipment. UPS Paperless Invoice service is free of charge.

CPS securely transmits your shipment information to UPS. All you have to do is enter shipment commodity details into CPS. The information transmitted to UPS is then available electronically and used to clear your shipment through Customs. With this electronic transmission, shipment processing can begin earlier, enabling timely Customs clearance.

Shipping Labels and Documentation

CPS also prints document labels, custom labels and other user defined labels.  In fact, CPS can print multiple labels for each package processed.
